PLACES OF INTEREST:
Erroll Schoolhouse is set amongst wide open fields overlooking the sea, half a mile just outside of the village of Cruden Bay, Aberdeenshire.
Cruden Bay is a coastal village with a long uninterrupted sandy beach which is perfect for walks, power kiting or simply building sandlecastles!
The cliff trails offer some lovely walks and you can wind your way from the beach right up to the ruin of Slains Castle - the acknowledged inspiration for Brams Stoker’s “Dracula” - which overlooks the sea.
The village has a picturesque harbour and is home to a world class golf course, rated in the top 100. Erroll Schoolhouse is also ideally situated for exploring the Castle Trails, Coast Trails and Whisky Trails.
For nature lovers, you can go bird watching at Loch of Strathbeg, Forvie Nature Reserve, Whinnyfold Beach and Bullers of Buchan.
For golfers, there are many famous Golf Courses within an hour's travelling time.
